Shahad Ameen
director
The Saudi filmmaker Shahad Ameen studied video production and film studies at the University of West London and screenwriting at the New York Film Academy. Her short films “Leila’s Window” (2011) and “Eye & Mermaid” (2013) won multiple prizes. Her first feature film “Scales” (2019) premiered in Venice and won the Verona Film Club Award. Her newest film “Hijra” premiered in Venice in 2025.
