Gabriel Mascaro

director

Gabriel Mascaro is a Brazilian visual artist and film director. With his work he portrays the hard Brazilian realities, exploring the link between politics and daily life. He made documentary films, such as “KFZ-1348” (2008) and “Avenida Brasília Formosa” (2010). In 2014 he made the switch to fiction with “August Winds”. His second feature film “Neon Bull” (2015) premiered in Venice, winning the Special Jury Prize in the Orizzonti category. His most recent film “The Blue Trail” (2025) premiered at the Berlinale, winning the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize.
