Brandt Andersen

Brandt Andersen is an American activist, writer, director and film producer. He wrote and directed the short film “Refugee”, on which “I Was a Stranger” was later based. He produced films such as “Everest”, “Lone Survivor”, “2 Guns” and “Silence”. In 2017, in collaboration with CARE and together with a group of filmmakers, he visited a refugee camp in Jordan to teach Syrian teenagers how to make films. His feature film debut “I Was a Stranger” premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival.
