A beautiful and special documentary on 43 year old Sara Shaverdi who lives in a desolate village in north-west Iran. As a free and divorced woman she engages herself for the independence of all women in the village.

43 year old Sara Shahverdi lives in a desolate village in the north of Iran. She is an independent, divorced woman. She goes into battle on her motorcycle to combat child marriages, to guarantee education for girls and to arrange the so longed for gas connection for the village. However, as the first and only female member of the village committee, she is practically trying to do the impossible.

Despite the pressure of the patriarchal system, Sara does not give up. She takes the fight to the men in her environment, even when they doubt the sincerity of her motives. Still she keeps fighting for her morals and values with a force that pierces right through the film screen. An absolute must.
