This movie, like a Sunday church service, invites and challenges you both philosophically and morally.

Yolanda, a forty-year-old nun, works in a local hospital. The mysterious death of a man, who gruesomely died after a horrible accident, confronts her with the abuse of power in her own church. While she slowly uncovers the truth, her faith wanes. She will have to choose between the church she has dedicated her entire life to or her own conscience.

A powerful debut film from a director whose background as a photographer reveals how picturesque scenes and carefully put together images give this film a unique style. Combined with a slow, modest and contemplative rhythm, this kind of cinema is for patient connoisseurs. But that patience is more than worthwhile: the characters have something valuable, there is depth in all their shortcomings but also  compassion. Subtle expressions and comforting words touch the viewers deeply.
