Iranian filmmaker Soheil Beiraghi is renowned for his daring, socially conscious dramas. In 2016 he made his directing debut with "Man". His second feature film "Aragh-e Sard" was released in 2018, despite significant censoring, and received recognition at multiple international film festivals. After his third movie "Aamme-Pasand" was banned in Iran, he started Alef Pictures in order to support independent productions. His newest film "Bidad" premiered at the international film festival in Karlsbad, winning the jury prize.
