Marya Zarif is a poet and writer from Aleppo. Her ambition is to share the beauty of daily life in her homeland with the rest of the world. In 2013 she co-created ‘The House of Syria’, an homage to Syrian culture. Besides that, she founded the foundation I Want to Play, aiming at improving the lives of Syrian refugee children.
