Ilker Çatak is a German director and screenwriter with Turkish roots. He won the Golden Medal for Foreign Film at the Student Academy Awards in 2015 with his graduation film “Fidelity”. His filmography includes works like “Once Upon a Time… Indianerland” (2017), “I Was, I Am, I Will Be” (2019) and “The Teachers’ Lounge” (2023), which won multiple prizes and was nominated for Best International Film at the Oscars. His most recent film “Yellow Letters” premiered in February at the Berlin International Film Festival.
