Hiroshi Okuyama
director
Hiroshi Okuyama, born in 1996 in Tokyo (Japan), made his debut film ‘Jesus’ in 2018. In reviews for ‘Jesus’, critics noted the influences of Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Kore-eda. Okuyama later collaborated with Kore-eda by directing episodes of his Netflix series ‘The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House’. ‘My Sunshine’ (2024) is the second feature film by the (only) 29-year-old director.
