Cherien Dabis

Cherien Dabis is a Palestinian-American actress, director, film producer and writer. She grew up in Ohia and Jordan and she studied film at Columbia University. Her first feature film "Amreeka" (2009) premiered at Sundance won the and won the FIPRESCI International Critics Prize in the Director's Fortnight category at the Cannes Film Festival. Her second feature film, "May in the Summer" (2013), was also shown at Sundance. In 2022 she was nominated for an Emmy for her directing role in the show "Only Murders in the Building". Her third feature film, "All That's Left of You", premiered at Sundance last year and was the Jordanian entry for the Oscars in the category Best International Feature Film.
