César Diaz

director

César Díaz is a political refugee: he was born during the civil war of the 1970s, in which he also lost his father. After studies in Mexico, he came to Belgium in 1998 and studied at the ULB. Afterwards he followed screenwriting at the film school La Fémis in Paris. The director started out as a documentary maker, but also worked as a mechanic for the films Ixcanul and Tremblores, among others. Nuestras Madres is his first full-length film.
