Director and screenwriter César Augusto Acevedo, born in 1987 in Cali (Colombia), graduated from the School of Social Communications at the university in Cali. The scenario for “Land and Shade” was his master’s thesis and became his first feature film in 2015, winning the Caméra d’Or for best debut film at the Cannes Film Festival. “Horizonte” (2024) is his second feature film.
