Venezuela, 2017. A violent past makes itself felt in the present day collapsing society. Adelaida finds herself in the chaos of different factions. In this nightmare, fleeing is her only way out.

It’s 2017, Adelaida buries her mother in a collapsing Caracas. Returning home she discovers that her house has been taken over by armed militia. Amidst of the current chaos in the country she is driven to the brink in order to survive. She decides to leave everything behind and even abandons her own name. In a country with no future, assuming someone else’s identity is her only solution.

A thriller with eloquent camera work, low lighting and shot at night, when the borders between reality and nightmare start to fade. The film does not make pronouncements on the political situation, but transplants the situation to an individual, who you at first might condemn, but as the film makes painfully clear, sometimes, the only way out can be a “stolen” identity.
