13-year-old Arianne is terminally ill. Her best friend Zahra, a refugee from Afghanistan, is about to be deported. Arianne writes to the government minister: ‘I’m dying. Could Zahra stay in Holland instead of me when I’m gone?’ Inspired by a true story.

A true story about two girls, Ari and Zahra, who both face very different existential challenges at a young age. Ari discovers that she is terminally ill, and Zahra is told that she must return to Afghanistan. But can Zahra take Ari's place? If Ari is no longer there, will her right to remain in the Netherlands become available?
