Lina seems to have succeeded in life when she receives an award for her career as a stylist. However, barely a few minutes later she throws away her award and starts wandering around the city until eventually she impulsively throws herself into a canal. Lina survives, but she is left with a trauma. From now on water is a source of fear that symbolises the weight of her existence.
The story takes place in the upper classes of society with stylish apartments and elegant clothes, but the world feels cold and empty. The play of sounds and the atypical narrative style shroud the film in mystery. This puzzling movie transforms reality into something subtly absurd, as a means of coping with the crushing weight of existence. Just unravelling the unique opening scene of the film, will immediately appeal to connoisseurs.
