Professor Gary Johnson doet zich namens de politie van New Orleans voor als huurmoordenaar om opdrachtgevers te kunnen ontmaskeren. Gary is zéér begaafd in het schakelen tussen verschillende persoonlijkheden om voor iedereen de perfecte ‘hit man’ te zijn. Hij komt in een lastige situatie terecht als hij gevoelens begint te ontwikkelen voor één van zijn potentiële klanten, de beeldschone Madison. Als Madison verliefd wordt op Gary's alter ego - de mysterieuze en sexy Ron - zorgt hun affaire voor een opeenvolging van leugens en bedrog.
