Sing Me A Song

release date Wed 23 Dec 20

A captivating yet bitter documentary about how the internet is radically changing life in the highest and most remote areas of our world.

A world without the internet? In Bhutan it was, until recently, still an everyday reality. Life in the small Himalayan kingdom changed dramatically in a few years with the introduction of the internet. So too for the 17-year-old monk Peyangki. The rituals and prayers in the remote monastery are interspersed with online communication with the outside world. Candlelight is replaced by the light from smartphones. What is more for the young monk, there is also love to be found online.
