In this adventurous film, a young girl faces a difficult choice: should she protect her beloved animals? Or is her family’s well-being more important?

Shafa lives on the fisher island Singo. When one day her dad catches special crabs, the whole village imagines itself rich, as it is the tradition that everybody shares in the profit. Shafa thinks it’s rather sad the crabs have been caught and will be sold and eaten, so she secretly sets them free. What she doesn’t know, is that her action will have consequences for her entire family.

‘Singo’ is all about the willpower of a young girl. The film beautifully portrays family love, animal well-being and personal perseverance. The story shows that money is worth a lot, but that true wealth lies in the love for humans and animals.
