The Tower
Warda is 11 and lives in a Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut. She’s a child of the 4th generation. Buildings become higher and higher, and after all those years, the camp is full of towers. High in one of the towers we find her grandgranddad Sidi. Now he feels he’s going to die, he gives her the key of the house out of which he was being expelled in 1948. A beautiful animation film based on stories refugees in the camps today have told.
Grorud's debut feature remains a well-researched and penetrating look at an ongoing crisis
