A story that is told without too much spice or visual fantasy, rarther it is steeped in enormous empowerment and hope for a better world.

Maryam works as a doctor in a small-town clinic – though some men refuse her care because of her gender. Maryam has a musical father who supports his three daughters. But when he goes off on tour, Maryam is unable to renew her travel permit — until very recently, Saudi women were not allowed to travel without the permission of a male guardian — and misses a medical conference. Frustrated by this, as well as the attitudes she comes up against at the clinic, Maryam is convinced it's time to take matter into her own hands: she's going to run for local council. One of her promises is to do something about the entryway to the hospital. However, only few people take her serious as a political woman.

A frank look on the Saudi Arabian society straightforwardly told. The film is steeped in female power and hope for a better world.
