30-year-old Sheng Nan struggles with existential questions after learning that she knows she has cancer. An honest film about love, romance, humor and drama.

Sheng Nan, a 30-year-old journalist, struggles with existential questions when she is confronted with her own mortality. Doctors say she has ovarian cancer. Since she has no money to pay the hospital bill, she asks a friend and her own father for money, but to no avail. The friend does offer her a new assignment however: write the memoirs of an old painter who lives far-away in the mountains. Her mother, who is extremely vain and the definition of “chatty”, accompanies her. The two clash, but also learn to understand each other during this trip and their stay with the painter. At the same time, Sheng Nan realises she is looking for sex before it is too late.

Teng Congcong's film contains beautiful cinematography, with splendid sceneries. Famous Chinese actress Yao Chen plays the very complex main character, who is struggling with herself, subtly portraying love, romance, humour and drama.
