Arami Ullón

director

Arami Ullón was born in 1978 in Asunción, Paraguay. Nowadays, she lives in Switzerland because love took her there. The documentary she made of her sick mother was internationally acclaimed. Ullón also caused a national riot in the nineties, after the collapse of the Paraguayan dictatorship. Her experimental short, in which a young half-naked woman explicitly expresses her sexuality and spirituality, was kept out of cinemas because of ‘common decency’.
